Another On Deck Art Show is in the works this year. For those of you who don’t know, it’s a project started by the Montana Skatepark Association. The organization is amazing. They locate the decks & artists… Put them together. Take amazing pics… Promote the crap out of it. Create an online auction… Organize a gallery showing/opening and generate the funds necessary to create sick parks all around Montana. It’s incredible.
I’ll post when the online bidding will begin!

This year my entry it titled: Finding Forever

Montana Skatepark Association Info:

The Missoula Skatepark (MOBASH) was organized and paid for by a group of volunteers over a period of almost 7 years. The park opened in September, 2006 to a crowd of 10,000 and a guest appearance by legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk.

In 2007 the founding organizers of the “Missoula Skatepark Association” (MSA) restructured and renamed the organization the “Montana Skatepark Association”. This name better reflects a new mission to help other Montana communitites build free, public skateparks. Learn all about the new MSA at montanaskatepark.org

The Montana Skatepark Association (MSA) helps Montana communities establish skateboard parks and skateboard program development with the goal of creating additional recreational opportunities and positive alternatives for its residents and underprivileged youth.

They are a unique organization because they are all skaters and skate enthusiasts. They have the unique skill set that allows them to help communities negotiate the seemingly countless details involved in skatepark construction and programming. They know what works, what doesn’t and where they’ve seen other projects go wrong. They’re passionate about the free, recreational opportunities that skateparks provide.

Basically, it’s a super wonderful organization!
